For a decade (1999-2009), LECAD, under the guidance of Pantelis Lazaridis, mainly dealt with the creation of an Archive of Urban Life Snapshots that circulate through the Internet and the Press. The recording and digital processing of these snapshots constitutes a mechanism of research and digitization of the virtual world as seen through the big media  channels. The archive includes images from society, the environment, current politics and war news etc. The digital processing of these images connects global politics to local news and at the same time, undermines the relationship  “evidence-truth” since the use of digital collage leads to a spontaneous and at times figurative attachment of data that strongly reminds of the historical dadaist photo montage, as Kostis Stafilakis correctly mentions in the catalog of the Parkour exhibition.
