Ιnterdisciplinary and Interuniversity Postgraduate Program that explores the changes brought about by ICT in the way of thinking, in the perceptual process and the representational means, identifying the barriers to their effective use in education and ways of overcoming the barriers as well as the future of formal and informal learning in the digital era.

The Program operates since 2005 with the co ordination of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in collaboration with the Communication and Media Studies Departmnet, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Architecture, University of Thessaly, in partnership with the Department of Electronics TEI Piraeus. Within the framework of the Program, students use the infrastructure all cooperating departments.

New technologies in the field of communication and information currently occupy an important place in education programs. This Post graduate program creates a field for interdisciplinary treatment and discussion on contemporary issues relating to learning and teaching in the digital era.

Alongside the theoretical and critical education, the program encourages the involvement of students in practical laboratory work to create learning resources with the use of new technologies (educational software, audio and video products, multimedia applications). It supports cooperation and joint creative work.

The structure of the program provides opportunities for choice and flexibility in the selection and combination of courses required for completion, and allows, through the selection of the dissertation subject, to reflect the specific interests of the students. It also gives the opportunity to study the relationship between both theoreticalresearch and applied ways of use of ICT. Particular emphasis is given to the parallel and balanced development of content and aesthetic dimension of the students’ works.
